thoughts:

1. everything's so big here...
....from the people (not just tall, many are overweight),
....to the roads (huge, long roads where you can drive for miles and miles and miles without ever hitting the brakes),
....to the food portions (that explains the big people...and john. hehehe. i'm not sure if these portions are meant to be finished because i've done that everytime here and i get so stuffed.),
....to just the wide-open living space.

2. i miss...
....manila. i keep remembering that phrase from the song manila: "ang ingay mong kay sarap sa tenga..."
....asian food. my first meal here was a bland hamburger patty, fries, and hashbrowns. i want rice, soups, and FLAVOR!!!!
....my own bed with the proper amount of pillows that adjust perfectly to my head.
....everyone back home of course. it isn't that strong yet, though i presume it will only grow with time. having internet really helps though.

3. i'm really enjoying...
....meeting all these great people. the people from the church here are just excellent.
....the cool weather. No sweating at all!
....having a messed up body clock. it's pretty funny. hehe
